Nokia 6638



Last week the US Federal Communications Commission approved the design of Nokia 6638 – the first Nokia smartphone powered by Series 60 and meant for CDMA networks.


I’d note that the model resembles the 3G Nokia 6630 for the European and Asian markets. However, there are some distinctions – in addition to CDMA Nokia 6638 is equipped with rearranged side and function buttons, the exclusive edition for the US features, for example, a LED flash, a 2.5 mm headset jack and the support of E-911 call.

Besides Nokia 6638 represents the first Nokia phone with the slot for full-size SD cards (earlier there was the support of MMC and RS-MMC, the support of SD was announced last September).

There is still no info who will be the first operator to get interested in Nokia 6638.
